Dr Charlotte Woolley - who was among the EASTBIO-funded 2017 intake - is currently post-doctoral researcher at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (RDSVS) and the Roslin Institute of the University of Edinburgh, funded by the Dogs Trust to investigate lifestyle risks for healthy aging in a dog population. Charlotte is also the course organiser for the Research Methods and Data Analysis course on the online MSc Equine Science. Her research interests include veterinary and human epidemiology, data science, microbiome and genetic research. Outside of academic life, Charlotte has a 16-month old little girl who keeps her very busy and 2 ragdoll cats. She enjoys big hikes in the hills, running, Netflix, home renovations, craft beers and wine.
We are delighted to share Charlotte's most recent news about her latest publication, a study about the lifestyle and health of dogs during the first lockdown. No wonder this was readily picked up by the University of Edinburgh news section!
EASTBIO joins others in warmly congratulating Charlotte for both her research outlet and her new role and we are looking forward to engaging her in our training events as a guest speaker before not too long!
